Iraq has been caught up in increasing US hostility towards its neighbour, Iran.
Trade between Iraq and Iran is worth over $13bn annually and Iraq is reliant upon Iran for its energy needs, but US sanctions have already complicated relations.
Additionally, the US recently placed Iran's Revolutionary Guard on its list of terrorist groups, but some Iraqis have close ties with the organisation, which helped the government of Iraq defeat ISIL only just recently.
Al Jazeera's Dorsa Jabbari reports from Baghdad.
