This Google + is very confusing at this stage.
Car alternator armature supplied with Low voltage High current alternating current.
With a small push the rotor will rotate up to very reasonable speeds.
Note, the power is applied via the copper straps to the roller bearings. it goes through the armature shaft and out at the other end.
The motor relies on thermal hotspots caused by the current, where the roller bearing balls touch the steel of the race, expand at the point of contact.
When some movement has happened and a new hotspot is created, the process repeats itself.
The rotation can be either way and will work on DC as well.
Red wiring used is 10 mil².
