A woman is recovering after she was attacked by a jaguar at a zoo in Arizona on Friday (March 9). Fire officials say the woman crossed over a barrier while trying to take a selfie at the Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium and Safari Park near Phoenix. The woman suffered lacerations to her arm and was taken to a local hospital.
She is expected to make a full recovery.
Witnesses say they heard screaming and saw the jaguar's claws grasping the woman's arm. Zoo officials say the female jaguar will not be euthanized because it, "was not the animal's fault."
