1.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE CONSTRUCTION,OPERATION PRINCIPLES

1.1. Pre-production model of the single phase AC electric motor has been developed on the base of commercial ABE-071-4С-type electric motor with power of 180W provided by

means of change of stator coil manufacturing method composed of two equal parts W1 and W2 (see thepicture). Rotor of electric motor is shorted, and its construction has not been changed.

1.2. Electric motor is operated by means of the following principles: after connection of the electric motor to the power supply source with the voltage of about 220V you shall push OFF button. And it results in the following process: mechanically connected contacts: (а)-connected;

(б) - disconnected. Electric power will only pass through one part of coil W1 and the electric motor is activated. Now you can release ON button.

As a result, contact-(а) is disconnected and contact-(б) is connected. Now both the parts of the coil of the stator W1and W2 are sequentially activated, and electric motor passes to the normal operating mode.

1.3. Electric motor is stopped by pushing OFF button.

The following values were read out after carrying out the tests: P = 180W; Jm = 1.2A; JXX = 1.0A; n = 1350 revolutions per minute.

The values received after tests comply with standards applied on electric motors with similar capacity and power. For example, electric motor for KD-180 type laundry washers manufactured in series has the following technical features:

P= 180W; Jm= 1.7A; JXX= 1.15A; n = 1370 revolutions per minute, i.e. running nominal current is lower than the tested sample by 41%. 2. COMPETITIVENESS

In comparison with the existing single-phase AC electric motors, the described new model of electric motor has no additional phase-shifting devices - accelerating coil, inductance, condensers, etc., that allows us to increase serviceability of electric motors and to save copper wire used for manufacturing the accelerating coil and condensers. 3.
