“There you see they're burning a statue like a human.” Then he takes a good look and sees that is very similar to a human. It doesn't cross one’s mind that somebody throws a human into the fire. Then he thinks to himself that it's a statue or a dummy put there. Then he looks again and thinks it looks so much like a human.
