U.S. Navy Laser Weapon System Demonstration • (LaWS) 2017

The U.S. Navy successfully conducted a demonstration with the Laser Weapon System (LaWS) aboard Afloat Forward Staging Base (Interim) USS Ponce (AFSB(I) 15), shooting down an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the Persian Gulf on July 14, 2017.
