Today I take a look and review Apacer's Z280 480GB m.2 NVMe SSD which is very affordable (this model coming in at around $215 USD) and offers significant read and write performance boosts over that of a typical Sata 3 SSD, though do keep in mind not all applications and processes will utilize these speeds.
Also this model features MLC memory and a Nanya Cache Bank, connected to a Phison Controller. Overall great little drive at a great price, maybe it's time to adopt to m.2!
I can only find this at Newegg atm... hopefully it pops up at other places - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAA444YC9694&cm_re=z280-_-9SIAA444YC9694-_-Product
No idea when it will hit amazon, but here is something that looks similar (though it could be a lot slower as the banks are unconfirmed and the nanya cache bank looks of a lower quality bank than the one on this drive) - http://amzn.to/2f3n3FM
