The real story of a 13 year old boy called Mahdi who doesn't have a birth certificate and struggles to find his talents, and his mother who tries anything so that Mahdi doesn't have to work. Their lives inspired Behrouz Sebt Rasoul to make a movie to show just a small part of their problems. He also wanted to show the increased possibility of committing a crime by these children or the chance that they might get hurt.

This movie starts from a printing house and depicts the shadows of working children, in order to signify the fact that these children are like shadows which have no identity and they are being reproduced.

Bio Filmography

Born in 1970 in Tehran, Behrooz Sebt Rasoul. He was graduated in Industrial Engineering from Tehran University. In 1991, by establishing of Iranian Nama Film Institution, directed several short and documentaries and wrote many screen plays.

IDENTITY is the debut feature film of this director.
