I show you how to build a wooden boat without marine plywood. Powered by electric, using 2 deep cycle marine batteries. I buy regular ply from Home Depot and glue with gorilla glue. Create beautiful concave hull formations from stem to stern, using wood strips to build the unique shapes I have designed. I will seal the boat using waterproof filler compound, then coat with epoxy and fiberglass, then sand to perfection. Presently she is right at 100" long or 8 feet 4 inches long and will be powered by an 86lb thrust motor, permanently mounted under the transom end of the boat. She is 19" inches deep and should move quite nicely in the water, once she has been made seaworthy. This plywood hull electric boat will be quite light when complete and really excited after making this craft, to get started on my mini 2 seater electric boat, also built from plywood and lightweight composites.
I've joined a few forums on facebook too, and the number of "know it all's" out there, forecasting that the boat will capsize etc, is hilarious. It'll be awesome showing them too in the process, that this thing will be as good in the water as it ends up looking. :)
I can't get over how big it all seems presently. Seeing the frames in place, certainly puts it all in perspective. The next video, I'll be laminating the stem unconventionally and some frames too.
Thank you for reading and watching :D
