Electric Motor repair disassembly and reassembly

I was attempting to try to repair my 30 year old doerr electric motor on my 30 year old craftsman air compressor. The shut off switch ( limit switch ) failed and the air compressor ran and ran and was smoking.There is some charring of some insulation on the inside but it does not look bad. I wil replace the start capacitor in the next video.
