When he arrived to the river, he took a handful of water and as he was thirsty he wanted to drink it, but he said to himself "Shall I drink the water that my Imam of the era has asked me to take for him?" So, he poured down the water and he filled the goatskin. Do you know what happened that their enemies could dare to cut his hand? Because he did not use that hand in the battle and held the goatskin with that hand firmly. His right hand was cut off. Was that important for Abbas? Of course not. The order of Imam was not disobeyed yet. The goatskin was safe yet.
